Case study

Company A is a small manufacturing company in the North East of England. Currently, they employ sixty people over three sites. There is no HR department. Human resources currently fall under the remit of the Managing Director. He tries to devolve as much as possible to his site managers. None of the four individuals have any previous experience or qualifications in the field of Human Resources. The managing director as an all round knowledge of company law, however no one in the business as experience of employment law.
